Barry and Andrew from 10 Radio visited us so we could learn about making a radio show. I was in a group with Kit, Owen and Elliott. We worked really well together. Our idea was to have a chat and ask each other questions about our favourite hobbies, sports, music and books. When we were ready, we went into the Den which had been turned into a recording studio. We had a practice turn so we could get used to speaking into the microphones. When it was time to do the performance we were all really nervous and scared we would mess up. It looked like a complicated desk of equipment so I was even more nervous; I might flip a microphone on at the wrong time or play the wrong music! by Ben, Class 6
When we started recording my heart was pounding. Barry counted us in “1..2..3 GO!”. “Hi, my name is Sophia. I am ten years old and we're all in Year 6”, I said. For the rest of the time it went so smoothly. My last line was “I think that we can all agree Miss Storey is amazing and inspires us so much.” Then… Dancing Queen by ABBA started playing because we finished! by Sophia, Class 6
Thank you to Barry and Andrew for this great experience for the children. Tune in to 10 Radio on 105.3FM or online on https://10radio.org/
