Classes 5 and 6 went to Bristol Museum where we learnt about Egyptology for our Quest work. We saw many artefacts inculding canopic jars, amulets that would go in the coffins with the mummies and real model of an Egyptian God of the Dead, Osiris. After that, we went to the art gallery and learnt about how to identify portraits and how old they are. We were asked to describe the portraits and to express what we like in a portrait painting. We looked at a portrait of the Duke of Portland and did some role play of the artist and the Duke to understand how the artist approached the painting.                                                                                             by Tabitha and Tia, Class 6
