Trip on the Steam Train
19 October 2017
On Thursday 12th October, years R, 1 and 2 went on an exciting journey, as part of their topic work this term. They experienced a range of transport including a coach and a steam train. Our adventure took us to Watchet, where we explored the harbour on foot and ventured into the Boat Museum. The children went on a hunt around Watchet, to find specific landmarks and key geographical vocabulary. In the Boat Museum everyone helped to make a rope from flax, got to dress up and explore a range of maritime artefacts. We would like to say a big thank you to Mrs Ward from the Methodist Church who allowed us to use their hall for a base. A big thank you also to the boat museum and all parent helpers who joined us on our very enjoyable journey.
